Special Abilities:
Two Hearts: Pkorians are robust, having two hearts which make them far more resistant to fatal wounds than most other species. So a Pkorian receiving a "Killed" result on a damage roll, may roll 1D6 and reduce the effect (so on a killed result of 18, if they roll a 4 on their D6, which reduces it to a 14 which is "Mortally Wounded" instead).
Long Fingers: Pkorians have long fingers which are excellent for gqining grip when climbing. They add +2D to their climbing skill.
Unusually Keen Senses: Pkorians gain a +1D to all rolls involving their senses, so this bonus applies to detecting things by taste, hearing things, and searching visually, it doesn't apply to things like repair work requiring fine senses, or aiming weapons.
Story Factors:
Low Technology: On the planet Pkori, Pkorians lived on one large settlement on a single continent completely cut off from the technological advancements beyond their world. This means that Pkorian characters cannot begin play with skills for high tech items such as Starships, Blasters, Repulsorlift, etc.
Move: 10/12
Description: Pkorians were a sentient species from Pkori. The species had red skin, long fingers, two hearts, and unusually keen senses. They could also have blue eyes and brown hair. By 22 BBY, no one in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant knew about the species or its origins, and there were no records of its home planet in the Jedi archives. One member of the species, Iskat Akaris, was a former Jedi Knight who joined the ranks of the Galactic Empire's Inquisitorius as the Thirteenth Sister.
Society and culture
On the planet Pkori, Pkorians lived on one large settlement on a single continent completely cut off from the technological advancements beyond their world. They were uninterested in owning starships or droids and were often baffled by them when they encountered visitors with such technology, referring to them as being 'from the stars'.
Pkorians spoke a unique language known to RA-7 protocol droids. Their language featured clicking sounds and rolled r's, lending it a music like quality to the ears of Iskat Akaris. Due to their isolated nature, this language was presumably not known to many in the wider galaxy.
Members of the species lived simple lives and hand-made many of their tools and structures. Work was known to consist of simple activities such as farming animals like cochukka sheep, birds or red oxen, cheesemaking, art, cooking, book-keeping and jewelry making. They were known to prepare and eat sheep's cheese, sweet cakes and umbikki stew.
Pkorians were known to keep family trees in ornate libraries, only tracking the matrilineal line as it was considered to be certain unlike the involvement of males in the bloodline. These records were known to have pleasant smelling flowers pressed into them and recorded the births and deaths of every woman born into a given Pkorian family.
Females of the species were known to live in family compounds together with the senior most woman being considered as the family's matriarch, commanding respect from their descendants. Great importance was placed upon helping and loving kin and female Pkorians considered the birth of a child to be worthy of significant celebration.
Bright and colorful clothing was the standard for Pkorians. Women would wear breezy dresses that provided tremendous air flow to the body while moving along with an arm bracelet for every year an individual had lived on Pkori. When observing the more restrictive garments of other cultures in the galaxy, some Pkorians could not understand how these clothes were comfortable as they were in such stark contrast to their flowy skirts and dresses. Handcrafted jewelry often comprised of small beads were also worn in excess by females.
